Организация режима шлюза и управление шлюзовыми кабинами
Sigur allows the company to establish an interlocking door system in the territory. Interlocking doors help organize access to areas with heavy traffic and implement stricter access rules for certain areas.
- interlocking door system based on a two-door configuration
- provides powerful management options, including specialized interlocking door systems
An interlocking door mode is used when you need to separate the flow of people or isolate one person for identification or locking purposes in the defense industry.
The interlocking door functionality is also helpful when you need to inspect your employees to establish whether they carry any prohibited items when entering the territory of a plant or production site as well as to perform certain technological procedures such as cleaning your employees from industrial contamination at microcircuit production or decontamination from harmful substances in chemical laboratories.
Types of interlocking doors
Sigur controllers enable the company to establish an interlocking door set using two regular doors (when certain settings are enabled) or connect a specialized interlocking door system.
Configuration of an interlocking door system
In general, an interlocking door system consists of two access doors and a confined space between them. When the second door opens depends on the status of the first door. The following parameters can be configured in the interlocking door mode:
Prevent the second door from opening when the first door is opened and vice versa.
Until the second interlocking door has been closed (the person has left the interlocking door area), the first door will not be opened (the next person will not be able to enter) and a respective message will be shown such as 'Access denied. The other interlocking door is open'.
Auto-opening of the doors after the person has entered the room (interlocking door).
There, you can set the time after the first door has been closed (the entry to the interlocking door area) to the auto-opening of the second door (the exit from the interlocking door area).
Limitation of the number of people in the zone.
Set the maximum number of people that can stay in the interlocking door zone at the same time. If a person is attempting to enter the area when it already contains the maximum possible number of people, the system will generate a message: 'The maximum capacity of the sector has been reached'.
Electromechanical lock, locks automatically when the door is closed.
If this parameter is enabled, after the lock has been unlocked, the controller will consider the door open until someone physically opens and closes the door again (the magnetic contact is broken and closed again).
- The interlocking door mode is performed by the controller autonomously, which guarantees seamless operation even if the connection with the server has been lost, which is especially useful for geographically-distributed organizations.
To enhance control in the interlocking door area, it can be equipped with other devices such as metal detectors, motion sensors, weighing devices or biometric scanners.
The security officer can monitor the employees in the interlocking door area through the glass or video camera and decide on whether to allow or deny access. In this case, another complex access scheme will be used, 'Request permit of security guard', which is also available in Sigur.
